Refund Policy

1. General Policy

BretoHome aims to ensure customer satisfaction while complying with Cyprus and European Union consumer protection legislation.

This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made:

  • Online (via our website)
  • In-store at our physical showroom

Different rules apply depending on the type of product purchased.


2. Right of Withdrawal – Online Purchases (EU Consumers)

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU, customers who purchase online have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery.

2.1 Conditions for Withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal:

  • The item must be unused
  • It must be in its original packaging
  • It must be in resaleable condition

Customers must notify us in writing (email is acceptable) within 14 days of delivery.


3. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does NOT apply to:

  • Custom-made or personalized products
  • Products manufactured according to customer specifications
  • Special-order imported furniture
  • Items assembled after delivery
  • Items used beyond necessary inspection
  • Clearance or discounted items marked as non-returnable

Custom and special orders are strictly non-refundable and non-cancellable once production has commenced.


4. In-Store Purchases

Purchases made in-store are not automatically subject to the 14-day withdrawal right.

Returns are accepted only:

  • Where required by law; or
  • At the discretion of BretoHome management

Custom and special-order items remain non-returnable unless defective.


5. Damaged or Defective Products

Customers must inspect goods upon delivery.

  • Visible damage must be reported within 24 hours.
  • Manufacturing defects must be reported within a reasonable period after discovery.

If a product is confirmed defective, BretoHome may:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the product
  • Provide a refund (where legally required)

This is subject to statutory consumer rights under Cyprus and EU law.


6. Return Process

Returns must be approved before being sent back.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless:

  • The item is defective; or
  • The return is required under consumer law.

Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the returned goods.


 

7. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.

BretoHome reserves the right to deduct any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods.
